This Schumann quartet recording is the most fascinating little piece I've ever heard. Obviously Glenn Gould and the Julliard String quartet did not get along very well when they recorded the thing - it is clearly perceptible in the recording. But this awesome contrast is completely fascinating. Is my favorite recording of the Schumann quartet.
